Great heritage location with very interesting exhibits.

Great tour which was very informative ..well worth the $5

Well worth the tiny entrance fee $5 adults and $3 children - cash at the door or pay by card at the visitor centre. The guides are interesting and our guide was a descendant of the first fleet to WA so she had plenty of personal stories. There are lots of exhibits that will interest your children of the pre-electricity days such as irons, butter and cream table, mangle etc. Finish your morning with lunch at the Rose and Crown, a short walk away

This is an incredible tour to do. The guides are so full of knowledge and there are so many aretefacts. I recommend this to anybody - young, old, interested in or have knowledge of the history of WA or not. The pure amount of detail contained there is amazing.

Family Friendly History TourOn 3/10/17 my sister, nieces and I took the train to Guildford station and walked to the old Guildford Gaol. Cecilia , a volunteer member of the local Historical Society, welcomed us and took our group of four on a personal tour of the buildings. She engaged us all with the stories of the early settlement and answered our questions. We enjoyed looking at the artefacts in Taylor's Cottage (what a story!) and the wash house. Really good activity for everyone. Well worth the small admission charge of $5 Adults, $3 Children 5-15 years.The society is hoping to expand display to include their valuable collection of costumes.
